Congratulations! Now that you’ve connected with a great Host and decided to move forward, you’re just a couple steps away from finalizing your homeshare.
Step 1: Initiate your background verification if it’s your first Nesterly homeshare.
Once your Host confirms the details of the homeshare online, you will receive an email prompting you to log back into www.nesterly.io to confirm details and initiate your background check (for U.S. citizens) or identity verification (for international applicants).
Click the blue “Start Verification” button to start your background check or identity verification.
Step 2: Discuss and sign the Homesharing Agreement.
Your verification check might take some time to be returned. In the meantime, work with your Host to draft a version of the Homesharing Agreement. The goal of Nesterly’s Homesharing Agreement is to make it easy for you to review homesharing details such as house rules, terms, and task exchange.
Review and discuss the agreement. Once you have agreed to the terms, sign the agreement and send a copy of the signature page to email@example.com or text a photo to (781) 205-9607.
Step 3: Finalize your Booking online.
Once the checks and/or verifications are complete for you and your Host, you will receive an email prompting you to log back into www.nesterly.io to do a final review of your homesharing terms and click ‘Pay to book’ to finalize the arrangement.
We will then withdraw your first month’s rent and fees. We will initiate transfer of your rent to your Host the day after move-in.
Moving forward, we handle monthly payments to ensure rent is paid and received in a timely and secure manner. We will also check-in periodically and provide support as-needed throughout the homeshare.
